Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce is a BBB Accredited Chamber Of Commerce in Lawrenceburg, TN
Spotlight WLX Radio

WLX Radio is honored to have been drawn as the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce's first Business Spotlight and are excited to have the opportunity to highlight the station's coverage area and newest offerings.

After a January 2006 upgrade, WLX's FM 97.5 became the most powerful FM radio station between Nashville and Huntsville reaching a potential listenership of 3.5 million people.  In addition to the area's only 50,000 watt local Country Music radio station, WLX operates a network of seven other stations in the Southern Middle Tennessee Area:    Lawrenceburg FM 100.7 and FM 105.3, Columbia FM 100.7, Lewisburg FM 100.5, Pulaski FM 100.9, and Loretto FM 93.1 in addition to the regional AM 590.

In August 2008 the locally owned and operated station launched a Classic Rock music network utilizing FM 105.3, FM 100.9, and AM 590 giving listeners a choice of music to listen to while staying informed with WLX News and Weather.  In it's 30 year history, WLX has become known for covering breaking news situations and severe weather events earning high praise from its listener base.  Currently the station remains the only radio outlet in the area with a full time staff devoted to local news coverage and weather forecasting.

WLXOnline.com has become a top source for listeners to access news and weather radar data on the Internet 24 hours a day.  The site also features two webcams; one located on a tower at the station's office building in Lawrenceburg and another overlooking Downtown Pulaski.

WLX works hand in hand with the Lawrence County Chapter of the American Red Cross (ARC).  In addition to hosting the organization's annual "Radiothon" fundraiser each March, the station opens it's "Country Cafe" theater to the local ARC chapter each Saturday night for a benefit concert.  Music lovers and dancers alike are admitted to the facility for a small donation at the door to the local chapter's disaster response efforts.  The family friendly atmosphere is home to the WLX Country Cafe Band which begins it's weekly performance at 7 p.m.

Growing from a single AM station in 1981 to a network of 8 radio stations today, WLX continues to work to inform and entertain residents of the Mid-South.  Do you have a song request, a news item, or want to know tomorrow's weather?  Give us a listen and a call.  To reach the WLX offices phone 762-6200 in Lawrence County, 363-9997 in Giles County, or 922-3800 in Maury County or visit www.wlxonline.com.
